Pokemon Battling Rules.
.) Not all Pokemon are unstoppable. Just because your Pokemon is a higher level than your opponents doesn't mean that you'll win. They may have an advantage over your Pokemon by type, terrain, knowledge, and so on and so forth. And also, let's say you have a level five Mudkip versus a level one hundred Rapidash. Whose to say the Mudkip won't win? Whose to say the Rapidash won't win? it depends. Just think of the odds, and what may happen if, let's say, you were playing a Pokemon game or something. Just think of the odds.
.) You may only attack once during your turn. An attack also counts as a defensive move, not just an offensive move either. A defensive move would be like Mist, Protect, Roar, and that sort of stuff. During your turn, though, you can also use one item that restores something, such as a Full Heal or Cherri Berry or something like that. Something like that makes it more senseable, right?
.) Try using the surroundings as a base for your Pokemon to either make a move or get damaged. If there are weather conditions going on such as Hail or Sandstorm, don't forget that your Pokemon will be damaged. But if a weather condition such as it is poring rain or it is really bright out, don't forget that things like that raises power to heals certain type of Pokemon, weather it be because of the type or the ability.
.) If you are the one deciding the next move, meaning that you still need to make a move, and you cannot decide on doing anything else besides one thing or just can't think of anything, either have your character to tell their Pokemon take a hit or something like that, or just pass up your move to the next player.
