The Pokemon population can never just replenish it self. Many wild ones caught by man kind are titled as not fit enough for things such as shows and perfect in status points for battling in the tough battles. Some do it for show, others for training, while others just do it to help certain species of Pokemon to re-populate from the brink of destruction. Many reasons why people choose to breed Pokemon, weather it be for fame or just for the fun of it, or just for reasons stated above. Some reasons really can't be explained, needless to say. What ever the reason, there aren't just one, but many of them out there. It's funny, how some people fail to notice the importance of other people's jobs, or how fun they just might be. But hey, don't go hating on things you may not know. Hey man, who knows. You might just like it.
Trust me, Co-Ordinators and Trainers may seem important enough in the world, but Breeders are just as Important. The scientists that have founded this region have found out that now many Pokemon subdue in this area, the most they found of one species were Ice-Types and Ground Types, along with a few Fighting-Types. So of course, they needed a good reason for Breeders to come up to the new region, weather it be with their own team or not, and help populate the region with new Pokemon breeds that wouldn't harm the others by vaccinations and such. Of course, just as the Co-Ordinators and Trainers have prizes for reaching a certain goal, so do the Breeders when they reach a goal as well. And trust me on this one.
You'll probably love it.
You see, the scientists are having a slightly hard time finding new species of Pokemon in the area. So the current time for the average Breeder is this: catch a new species of Pokemon somewhere in the wilderness of the region, and help scientists by breeding them and making the species populate to a higher advantage to already known Pokemon species so people can learn about them, as well as breed more Pokemon into the region and set them free for new trainers to catch, as well as breed them for starters as well. It all may sound a little tough at first, but trust me, once it starts going for you and many others, it will help. Suggesting that trading secrets and making friendships with others isn't too delirious either, really.
The prize for the person who also is able to create or find a new species of Pokemon is simple: the Breeder will be tagged as the fore most Breeder in the region, as well as get a special location with lush greenery and trees and shrubs as well as many water ways and places for Pokemon to stay. A great acreage to breed Pokemon on, as well as grow berries and such, to put it together. You'll also get special housing for your Pokemon, and many may want to buy offspring of your Pokemon as well. It seems pretty nice and exciting once you get used to it, none the less. So as many people look around and wonder, "Why?", you may be looking around and simply wondering to you self, "Pfft, well why not?"
