[/blockquote][/blockquote]To Be Your Own Best Friend...APPERANCE: Standing at around 6'0", Cameron is arguably Not Very Tall For His Age. Do not mention this however, lest he takes this comment as a challenge, and decides to fight you.
He has dark brown hair, reaching just shy of shoulder length, which he keeps out of his face by ways of a hat type object with a green ribbon attached to it.
Dark clothes make the hunter, and don't show dirt (such as dust, mud or blood) as much as any other color. This is why he wears them.
In fact, the only spot of color on him seems to be the green ribbons on his hat, the green inner part of his black combat boots, and a green sash ties around his waist.
Girly yes, but it hides his knives from the watchful eye of the law.
But probably the only reason he chooses green as his 'color of choice' is because his eyes are exactly that color.
Green.
PERSONALITY:
If there was one word to describe Cameron, it would most certainly be heartless.
It's one thing to be a hunter, but certainly another to hunt with the ruthlessness he seems to acquire when he spots a rare find. Be it a baby Seel or a mighty Donphan, Cameron will set out to fell it all for the sake of material gains.
However, if one can stand around this uncouth, brash person for more than a few minutes without feeling a sense of disgust, they might see something else emerge when he thinks no-one is looking.
Though he hunts for wealth, he will more often than not, help people and Pokémon alike (providing of course the Pokémon is not his quarry).
Therefore, the second word that could be used is Tsundere.
He is fiercely protective of his Pokémon and friends, and will not see harm done to anyone for mere fun. Hunting for profit or food he understands. But heaven help you if he catches you hurting something for nothing more than to watch it squirm.
For the most part, if one can get past his distasteful career, they will find that he is a nice guy underneath it all. He just hunts for cash.
Although, he tends to be cold and untrusting towards people he does not know, making it a little hard for him to get close to anyone.

[/blockquote][/blockquote]Leave Out All The Rest...HISTORY: Twenty or so years ago is where this tale begins, dear readers.
Little Cameron was born to Alistor and Katrina DuVaal on a warm, sunny day in the forest town of Fortree. He was a quiet child, curious and clumsy, and absolutely obsessed with his big sister.
His older sister, Alissa, was none too pleased by this turn of events. After all, she had always been the center of attention before. Five years older than Cameron, she had always been the one their parents had doted on, and (being an only child) had always received everything she ever wanted. It didn't help that she was louder and more demanding than Cameron either. Not that he minded. Cameron, regardless of whatever squabbles they may have had as siblings, loved his sister the most.
Little Cameron was actually a compassionate sort. He would (to the annoyance of his mother) bring home injured Wingull, or lost Poochyena and beg his parents to let them stay with him. But, as everything does, he had to let them go eventually.
His personality started to form when he found his first love. A Surskit.
At age 11, he had been running home in the storm after a late class caused him to lag behind. He spied the poor Bug Pokémon shivering in a trash-can, seemingly abandoned by its owner, and wrapped it up in his jacket and took him home.
Nursing it to health, his parents praised him for his gentle touch and remarked that one day he may very well become a successful breeder. An aspiration his sister always dreamed of achieving.
If it had been shaky before, then surely this marked the start of his destructive relationship with Alissa.
At age 13, He arrived home one day to find the Bug Pokémon missing. Searching high and low, he could not find hide or hair of the little Pokémon, the creature that he doted on and loved as much as his parents and sister.
It seemed that the praise granted to Cameron had made his sister's heart twist with jealousy and hate, causing her to blame the little Pokémon. Hate can drive a person to do things they come to regret.
That night, when he shared the news of the Surskit's disappearance with his family at the dinner table, his sister smirked and proclaimed that the Surskit probably escaped in order to get away from him.
Those words, from that person, hurt him much more than she realised.
It was at that point did he first think about what 'love' between human and Pokémon meant. Did the Pokémon realise the impact of that love? Did they value that shared bond, or was it just a... convenience?
Convenient to be taken care of, then escape when they were bored.
...
Did his love for the Pokémon mean nothing to the little Surskit?
We fast forward to age 15, a time when those seeds of hate and desperation reach out again.
His family had decided that, in an attempt to settle the rising hostility Alissa seemed to have developed, they would move to Sinnoh. But only after spending a few days enjoying their last moments in the next region.
At that time, his sister (now 20) had been given charge over her little brother, Cameron still oblivious to the hate that festered in her heart.
During a safari adventure in the region, Cameron and Alissa got separated from their parents, and had to make their way back to the meeting point. That point was a day away on foot.
Alissa remained quiet during they trek back, ignoring the cheerful chatter of her brother. But she did note the amount of wild and potentially dangerous Pokémon in the area.
As said before, hate can drive a person to do things they come to regret.
And regret.
Cameron did not see the branch that knocked him out, nor the twisted, victorious smirk Alissa wore as she stood above his unconscious form.
It was three days later before he came to.
And he was alone.
By some blind miracle, he made it back to the safe point to find that his parents had already left for Kanto. With the mount of wild Pokémon, and an eye witness account that saw him torn to shreds by wild Ursaring, they had no reason to linger in the region.
An eyewitness account related by Alissa.
His mind broke. As did his heart.
He wandered kanto, pointless and as if in a daze for the next few years. Stealing what he could to survive, drifting from place to place without any drive to live, merely existing because he didn't know what else to do.
Hopelessness turned to rage. Sadness turned to hate.
And he began to hate the world.
At eighteen, after a failed attempt to steal a very tradeable Machop, he was accosted by the police.
He spent but two days in jail, before busting out and escaping into the night. Seeing the potential of the fiery youth, a passing poacher who had heard of Cameron decided to train him, provided of course he was able to poach a rather valuable Magnazone first.
Cameron readily accepted, and at 24, graduated from his training with flying colours, and the blessings of his master. If ever asked the reason for going down such a path, he would reply that the pay was excellent, and he could do as he pleased without anyone making a fuss.
But, if you looked past the anger and hatred and ruthlessness, you would see that small child that brought home a Surskit on a stormy day, accepting the hand of that murderer because by joining him, he had family.
((OOC: Why am I always so horrible to my characters? It makes them more interesting, but I feel so bad for them D: ))....Leave Out All The Rest

INFO/PERSONALITY: Unlike her trainer, Melody is upbeat and happy.
Well, as happy as a Spiritomb can be anyway.
She had an affinity for Cameron's ribbons, and is usually found chewing on the ribbons on his hat.
However, once on a chase, the energy and adrenaline kick in. She loves a chase, and loves it more when there's call for taking down prey.
As such, she is the perfect partner, and reflection of Cameron.
She worries about her trainer quite frequently, even if she doesn't tell him so. It seems she knows of the pain in his heart.....I Ain't The Sharpest Tool In The Shed.
